AIRCRAFT MECHANIC (Title 32)

This position is located in an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) or Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA)with responsibility for the performance of the full range of aircraft maintenance duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and ground testing of assemblies, system, and surfaces for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing. This position is located in an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF)or Army Aviation Flight Activity (AAFA) with responsibility for the performance of the full range of aircraft maintenance duties including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and ground testing of assemblies, systems, and surfaces for one or more types of military aircraft, fixed and rotary wing. Perform duties and has responsibilities understood under the military designation of Crew Chief which involves full maintenance responsibility for a required minimum number of aircraft as determined by type of aircraft. Has responsibility for one or more subordinate employees who assist in the repair and maintenance of assigned aircraft. May be required to perform duties per the military definition of Flight Engineer. Military Grades:

Experience:
Experience or training that has provided the candidate with the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications. Must be skilled in the use of hand tools and test equipment. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must possess at least 18 months experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Experience coordinating the work of other mechanics, and scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow. Must have the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container. Performs work in complex conditions under time and/or mission constraints to include all weather and night operations. Performs preflight, thru flight, and post-flight inspections and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance. Inspects aircraft, determines mechanical deficiencies and analyze results. Expedites aircraft operations to include concurrent servicing, refueling, and/or reconfiguration of equipment for changes in operational missions. Requests maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints. Knowledge of aircraft systems and components in electrical, fuel, hydraulic, environmental and mechanical principles. Interprets instructional material, schematics and specifications for complex mechanical problems on assigned aircraft. Establish work sequence planning and review, and understanding of technical orders, maintenance regulations and management operating procedures. Plans, develops and conducts proficiency training during the technician work week to a multi-faceted workforce comprised of Full Time Support (FTS) and supported unit personnel.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
